About NECA South Australia
Why should I become a member of NECA SA?
NECA SA is the only national association supporting electrical and communications contractors in Australia. NECA provides a voice to government, employee unions and other associations for the electrical and communications contracting industry. Benefits of NECA membership range from access to advice on industrial relations, commercial and business, Occupational Health and Safety, technical and licensing support to additional benefits and discounts on training, fuel, vehicles (at fleet discounts), insurance and much more. How much does it cost to become a member of NECA SA?
Membership is company-based and fees are set according to the number of employees working in the business, this includes working directors, electrical/communications technicians, apprentices, clerical staff, subcontractors and any other employees related to the business. Membership applications are to be accompanied by payment of the application fee and full payment for 1 years subscription. Membership subscriptions are for the financial year July to June. Applications approved during the financial year will receive a rebate calculated on a monthly basis on the following year's subscription fee.
How do I update my contact details if I am already a member?

What kind of Training Programs does NECA offer?
NECA provides members with discounts on technical training, business training, OH&S training and rescue and resuscitation courses through our allied training partner PEER VEET. What kind of insurance do I need?
The kind of insurance electrical contractors need varies depending on the nature of the work being undertaken. Public liability insurance is recommended for all electrical contractors, professional indemnity insurance is recommended for anyone undertaking work that includes a design aspect, and home warranty insurance may be required by those undertaking large domestic contracts. What are the current wage rates?
NECA provides members with current wage rates. If you are already a member of NECA log into the members only area using the bar on the right and download the current wage rates. How do I find a qualified electrician I can trust?
NECA members employ licensed electricians and/or communications technicians, and are also provided with a range of business information, assistance and advice to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with changes to standards and legislation. What do I do if I need to employ or terminate an employee?
NECA provides members with advice on all of your employee and workplace relations, including employment, termination of employment and redundancy. What is an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) and how do I get one?
An Enterprise Bargaining Agreement is a negotiated agreement between an employee and employer, outside of Award conditions. NECA can assist members with EBAs. Is NECA an ACA Approved Registrar for my Communications Cabling Licence?
