Under the National Employment Standards, an employer must provide a Fair Work Information Statement to all employees that commenced their employment after 1 January 2010 as soon as possible after the start of employment.
The Fair Work Information Statement provides information on the National Employment Standards, Modern Awards, agreement making, individual flexibility arrangements, freedom of association and workplace rights (general protections), termination of employment, right of entry and the Fair Work Ombudsman and Fair Work Australia.
