Clean Energy Council Requirement Update
Clean Energy Council Request Update
Several members have contacted the NECA SA office recently in regard to the recent request by the Clean Energy Council (CEC) for accredited PV Installers to provide information in relation to the installation of all Photovoltaic systems since February 2008, which in many cases constitutes a considerable amount of work and enormous cost.
It is our belief that this request is particularly onerous given that the information requested has already been provided to either the CEC through the rebate process or indeed the Office of the Technical Regulator in South Australia as being technically compliant in accordance with AS/NZS 3000 by way of a South Australian Certificate of Compliance pursuant to the Electricity Act 1995.
Please be aware that the National Electrical & Communications Association is greatly concerned with this matter and have instructed our legal counsel accordingly.
As a consequence we have written to the Clean Energy Council in relation to the matters generally and in particular the onerous compliance and accreditation protocols.
