The manner in which Connection Services is accessed has been modified to accommodate the introduction of retailer choice (Full Retail Contestability) for all customers in South Australia effective from 1 January 2003.

A new one-step process has been introduced where electrical contractors, customers or builders ('Requestors') can arrange for the connection of new properties to the electricity distribution network via a retailer of their choice.
